J. Franklin Burns, Esq. formed J. Franklin Burns, P.C. in August 2002. Mr. Burns practice is devoted exclusively to representing claimants in workers compensation cases and personal injury cases. He has 18 years of experience in workers compensation law, the majority of those years defending employers, insurance companies and self-insured companies. Mr. Burns received his B.A. degree from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, and his J.D. degree from Mercer University Law School in Macon, Georgia. He is an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association. He is a section member in litigation, workers compensation, labor and employment, workplace injury and employment rights. In 2002, Mr. Burns was appointed to the Chairman's Advisory Council at the State Board of Workers Compensation, serving on the Rules Committee. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Carlyce and their two-year old son, Frankie, Jr.
