Robert (Rob) L. Hendrix, III, is a native of Snellville, Georgia.  Rob received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Georgia in 1997.  Following his undergraduate work, Rob worked for one of the largest multi-national insurance companies in the world handling workers’ compensation, liability and subrogation claims.

After three years in the insurance industry, Rob attended law school at Samford University where he was on the Dean’s List.  Additionally, Rob studied International Law at the University of Durham in Durham, England.  Rob finished his law school education at Georgia State University.

Upon graduation from law school, Rob began his legal career at a large AV rated law firm in downtown Atlanta, and worked for another large AV rated Atlanta area firm.  Early in Rob’s legal career, he focused on defending employers/insurers and self-insured’s in workers’ compensation matters.  Rob also handled a broad range of other legal matters including general liability, medical malpractice, aviation, defamation, probate, contract, corporate, criminal, divorce, construction, environmental, and professional negligence cases.

In 2005, Rob joined J. Franklin Burns P.C. as an associate attorney.  Rob’s former experience in representing insurance companies allows him a unique perspective in assisting injured workers receiving the benefits to which they are entitled.  Rob has successfully tried numerous workers’ compensation and general liability matters.  Additionally, Rob has litigated matters throughout the appellate process  including the Georgia Supreme Court.

Rob frequently lectures on matters involving workers’ compensation issues in Georgia.  He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, American Institute for Trial Lawyers and Atlanta Bar Association.

He was recently selected as one of Georgia’s Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars, which recognizes the top Workers’ Compensation attorneys in the nation.

In his free time, Rob is an assistant martial arts instructor and poker enthusiast.  He also enjoys cheering on the University of Georgia Bulldogs every Saturday during football season.  However, Rob’s greatest passion is spending time with his wife Vicki and sons Sammy and Harrison.
