Legal Help for Injured Workers
Call 404-303-7770
If your workers’ compensation claim has been denied, don’t give up. Contact an attorney at the law office of J. Franklin Burns, P.C. We are experienced workers’ compensation attorneys who know the system and know how to make it work for our injured clients.
Our founder has 20 years of experience in workers’ compensation law, 15 of which were spent defending workers’ compensation insurance companies against claims by injured workers.
Denying Valid Claims
You have up to one year from the date of the injury to file an appeal with the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation.
Insurance companies routinely deny valid claims for workers’ comp benefits in the hope that you will take “no” for an answer and just go away. Our attorneys will analyze why your claim was denied and compile the facts and expert testimony required to show why your claim should be paid.
Injured workers are not the only parties who must meet deadlines. The insurance company must either reject your claim or begin paying benefits for your workplace injury within 21 days. If they fail to do so, they must pay penalties and your attorney fees.
From offices in suburban Atlanta, Georgia, our workers’ compensation attorneys represent injured workers statewide.
